From 3 weeks ago and may be more than 3 weeks .. I used to write a personal statement for a job opportunity in one of universities .. and as I am not good in English .. I used to express what I want in a language that I cant feel its words ... I was very disappointed, depressed and frustrated.. I stayed many days thinking why I can't feel English words? Why I can't love this language? why it is so difficult to learn it?
Then after awhile.. I found a solution .. If I want to feel the beauty of English's words I need to read more in English .. and use English frequently so I can then express what I am feeling precisely.
I opened my notebook and start to write in English .. I wrote all thoughts in my head .. I wrote and I didn't give a care of the grammar .. I just used to use the English words freely .. During that process... I stopped multiple times to get a word that describes a specific thing in my head .. I searched, and stayed with Google translator to find words nearest to what I want .. and each time I tried to get a word I remembered some statements I studied in faculty that use this word ! oh ! I am a bad reader then.. I told myself :"my problem is not the my mind capabilities , it is not a medical issue.. it's just .. because I am not reading !"
So can reading make me perfect in English?Can Reading change something?
Yes!
Reading is a treasure.. It's the key to build a success mind .. a useful mind in another word :)
Reading helps you to learn and gather information quickly .. I used to read lots of English articles and books .. It was hard .. each word required me to open translator! Some times I bored and close everthing and went to the bed without any regrets! but next day .. I asked myself :"Can I become an English writer in some day? Can I listen to English conversation without needing to translation?? CAN I???????"
Yes.. I can .. but without effort .. I won't achieve anything ..
Now days, I am reading lots of articles without needing to translator in each word (all praises belongs to Allah).. I chose to read interesting articles and books .. I made summarization for some of them .. And I am now firm believe that Reading is important .. and life without it is just a kind of bullshit ! :)
